Services

Our services at Peninsular Acoustics include the following:

Planning Services

  • Planning & Noise Assessments: Our planning and noise assessments help navigate regulatory requirements and create optimal acoustic environments for occupants. We conduct thorough environmental noise impact assessments and provide support during planning applications.

  • Plant Noise Assessment: We conduct plant noise assessments to evaluate the noise impact of industrial machinery and other mechanical equipment. Our assessments measure noise sources, quantify noise levels, and develop mitigation measures to minimise noise disturbance in surrounding areas.

  • Air Quality Assessments: Typically required during the planning process, and often in conjunction with noise assessments we offer an air quality service which links well with noise guidance provided at planning stage.

  • Construction Noise and Vibration Plans and Monitoring: We offer construction noise and vibration management plans with onsite monitoring. State-of-the-art equipment allows noise monitoring alerts via email and sms with access to live online measurement data.

  • Wind Turbine / Wind Farm Noise Assessments: We offer Acoustic consultancy and noise assessments for proposed wind turbines and wind farms. The assessments are carried out in accordance with ETSU-R-97.

Building Regulation Services

  • Acoustic Design & Commissioning: Our team of experienced acoustic consultants offers expert acoustic design services tailored to the specific needs of each project. From initial concept design to final commissioning, we provide innovative solutions to enhance sound quality and minimise noise disturbance within buildings.

  • Sound Insulation Testing: We specialise in conducting comprehensive sound insulation testing to evaluate the effectiveness of building elements in reducing sound transmission between spaces.

  • Air Pressure testing: All new build dwellings are required to be air tested on completion, in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations. We offer air pressure testing as part of a comprehensive service.

  • SAP Calculations and EPCs for PART L of the Building Regulations: We offer SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculations and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to assess the energy efficiency of buildings and comply with regulatory requirements. Our assessments help optimise building performance and reduce energy consumption, contributing to environmental sustainability.

  • Overheating Assessments for PART O of the Building Regulations: We offer both the simplified calculation method and dynamic thermal modelling methods to demonstrate compliance with building regulations Part O. Our sister company UK Overheating Ltd provides the assessments on our behalf.

Acoustic Consultancy Services

  • Acoustic, Ventilation & Overheating Assessments: We conduct integrated assessments to optimise acoustic performance, ventilation systems, and thermal comfort in buildings.

  • Expert Witness: Our experienced acoustic consultants offer expert witness services for legal proceedings, planning inquiries, and appeals related to noise issues. We provide impartial expert testimony based on sound scientific principles and industry best practices to support our clients’ cases effectively.

  • BREEAM Acoustic Assessments: We assist clients in achieving BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification by providing acoustic assessments and recommendations to meet acoustic performance criteria of HEA 05 and POL 05. Our services contribute to sustainable building design and development.

  • Noise at Work Assessments:  We carry out Noise at work assessment for the “Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005”. Are experienced team of consultants can guide you through the process and provide expert advice and guidance to achieve the required standards.
