Peninsular Acoustics carried out a Noise at work assessment for the power station. Carrington Power Station has 150 no. employees with office staff and engineers. There were no fixed work stations for employees, which resulted in noise mapping of the workplace with dedicated hearing protection zones identified.
The noise mapping was backed up by data taken on an employee via a dosemeter. The client received a report demonstrating the methods for compliance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
